Ethnography
Studying Language at Home explicates a fantastic way of doing research/fieldwork. According to her, every ethnographer must have a goal (s) and these goals are; to study, explore, and describe a group culture (389).

After reading the story by Horace Miner on the Body Ritual among the Nacirema people in FieldWorking, I tend to disagree on some of Beverly Moss’s assertions about her preference on doing her research on her own people and around her community even though she emphasized that it is difficult to do. But from Sunstein and Chiseri-Srater essay, I come to the realization that as a researcher, you could step out of your immediate environment and community, and explore other people’s cultures and traditions whether oral or written respectively which makes a lot of sense to me.
