Family Archives

It is interesting to know that archives could be made from anything from letters in the familiy to diaries of an individual or a group of people depending on who is doing the research and what is available. I like the example on Rad-Rad, who wrote a long letter to all his children and grandchildren throughout his life time especially when they were all away from him and life became a boredom to him. And it was from his letters and the opinions of others that his family archives was collected. This is very important because "Megg could not have accomplished her study of her grandfather's humor without the collection of letters that her mother and aunts kept" (366).
